The latching hardware does seem a bit on the cheap side, but I added and extra clip for one door, because my bunny is smart and knows how to work that latch! (Dangerous for him with other critters in the house that would enjoy the chase). The trays are easy to remove, but a large for a doorway. The wheels have two that are 360 degree turn and two fixed, so plan ahead on the placement if this item is to be moved on a regular basis.

I put a cardboard box inside lined with a trashbag, and then shavings. Because the floor is wood you probably would want something between the animal and the floor to keep it clean.
