    My elderly loved one can't make it before I get the door open sometimes. And sometimes she can't hold it while I'm away. I have rugs that I put down daily for her in case of accidents and she's done well to make it to a rug. But washing every other day is kind of a pain. I got this product and put one of her rugs halfway on it and she used it the first day. She's only had two accidents since I bought this and she's made it both times. At first I thought it would be too small but it's really the perfect size and easy to clean. BTW I looked at all the ones I could find online and this one seem to be the best choice for me. I'm very happy with my purchase and my little sweetheart has her doggie dignity back.

    It didnt take long for my dog to use it correctly at all, hes a 60lb catahoula boxer and we live in an apartment. He has to pee early mornings or really late nights. This has helped us a lot when it rains for for an alternative to having to get up when tire half asleep. You need to dump it out of course, its easy to clean you just have to use a system that works best so its doesnt become a mess. I use a bucket and flush it and use odoban to clean it and deodorize it. You will need to do that part.

    I was apprehensive about getting this due to the negative reviews I read, but I did anyway. We have 2 dachshunds that are resistant to house training. After months of cleaning a couple puddles daily off wooden floors, I got this product. They were slow to take to it, but I strained a little bit of their pee from an infuriating puddle next to the product and they now have stopped peeing in the house. If you buy this thing, definitely check the little collector pan frequently, since it fills up quick

    It arrived 2 days earlier than earliest projected date of arrival; however, the product isn't as big as depicted in picture. My dog, a jack Russell x Chihuahua mix, has just enough room to stand on it. It is a tiny bit bigger than his length. A golden retriever would not fit on this as depicted (which I hoped would be the actual size), but that is okay. We will see how he does with it.

    But after a few days the green carpet does stink. If you are in an apartment it would be hard to clean every couple of days. I would not want to wash it in my tub!. I was lucky enough to be able to take out and hose down and let the sun dry it. Come with a very loose knitted artificial grass which works great. I went to Home Depot and purchased spare pieces to use while the original grass was drying outdoors or until I could get to washing it, but what I found and used was too dense and the liquid just stays on top of the grass and does not seep down through to the bottom collection tray.
    As a side note: My dog is now 10 months older and will only go to the bathroom on green grass outside now because that is what he learned on. I live in the city and Sometimes I need him to poop or pee on a public road or concrete sidewalk and he won't. I am glad that I bought this system, it was handy to have.

    We have a 12 week puppy and the trainer is working great for those early mornings and late nights when I don't want to go out in our cold Wisconsin winter weather. She still is happy to "go" on real grass later in the day. My only complaint is the urine is held in the turf for a while and she tracks wet paws off the matte. If you use it inside, be aware of your pup tracking pee. I would not think this would work for a larger dog, even for my tiny pup, sometimes her little rear hangs off the edge and the floor gets a present.

    I have several other grass mat potty trays, and although they are very convenient, I would have to rinse them every day and they still stunk up the house. This design is wonderful, so far there is no foul smell and it is so easy to empty the pull out tray. I just add some water and dump it in the toilet.
    It is very thick sturdy material, better quality then my other trays. I highly recommend it.

I use this product for more of emergency situations, Not potty training, my dogs are getting old. I have it by the back door just in case of accidents for my 20 pound dogs.     This is the second time I buy this product. When I bought this item in 2016, it took a while for my dog to get use to it. At first he wouldn't even look at it. The first one lasted for ever, but I felt it was time to throw out the artificial grass pee pad. Even if you wash it often. there will be a time when the mat will wreak of urine no matter what you do. Its perfect for rainy days or when you are ill and can't take your dog out. Whatever the reason might be. I recommend. Tip: Pour a little bit of water with a drop of dish washing liquid on the tray and leave it at all times. When your dog goes the urine smell will be less strong. Empty and clean after every use of course and do the same. P.S. I have a Chihuahua, don't know if it work the same for other size dogs.

    I had a litter of Dachsunds born and began using these when they were 4 weeks old. They trained nicely to this product. There were 5 in the litter and I sent one puppy trainer out with each puppy I sold. (So before the puppies left, I had 5 of them in various spots in my kitchen and dining room where they stayed. We put the puppy potty in the middle of an underpad so that misses were on the under pad. The puppies will get their front feet onto the potty thinking they are good - this is normal for young puppies to not realize their back ends need to be on the papers or on the potty. The units cleaned up nicely and the wet carpets were allowed to dry on the unit - being wet made them heavier to stay in place. The new owners reported their puppies continued to use the potty. I highly recommend this for breeders as it made cleaning up much easier than only using underpads, and my new owners (one of which was a breeder herself) were very happy.
