The top part of the wired cage, would be nice if that could open up, would be easier to pull larger things in and out and to clean. The door that opens should be wider, hard to even get a dust pan in there or to clean. The ramp should be more sturdy.
Also the bottom tray keeps falling down. Could be a factory defect or a bad batch cause I've read other reviews where they've had problems with the trays.
Other than that the cage it's self is sturdy easy to put together, and adorable to be used for indoor use.

Other reviews have stated that sometimes parts don't line up and I've also had that issue with the top cage that is screwed in.
The trays were quite fickle to put in and didn't line up easily. I don't know how long they'd last with constant removal.
Overall, I would definitely 100% buy this again. It's worth the money and works out perfect. The caster wheels are an added plus.

They seem to love their new space. The only thing i would say is some of the wood was mildly cracked.. not enough that it's gonna affect anything and personally doesn't change anything in my books because it is still fully functional. Something i want to say bout it for rats specifically if any other rat owners want to use it, is keep in mind my boys can fit bout half their face through the bars but not their entire body (they spent the night in it and were still there when i checked on them this morning) but they are, i wanna say, bout 1 or 2 yrs old.. so if you have younger, smaller rats this may be too big it jus happens to work for my boys and they love it. All in all i would recommend this, it took bout 30 minutes for us to set up with a screwdriver.

It did take two of us to put it together so that one person could hold the walls and the other could screw them together. A drill was helpful for getting the screws in. There are a few design elements I would change if I were redesigning this hutch.
1. I would add a second door to the lower area on the right side of the house. You can see my litter box in the back right corner and it is quite a stretch to reach in and clean it.
2. I would add an exit ramp. I purchased one to use that you see in pictures, but it would be nice as an added feature.
What I really like:
1. The roof on the second floor lifts. That is very helpful with cleaning.
2. The plastic floors are easy to clean. (You can slide them out, but I don’t use that feature)
3. It has wheels that lock. So it’s easy to move if you need too.
