This is just what we needed for an indoor house. Our tortoise is too big for the little doors between rooms, so we cut itone large door. This has the easy to clean plastic pull out floor, and both of the tops open easily. Absolutely fabulous, considering the price, and conveniences.

This was an upgrade from an aquarium so he would stop banging his head trying to walk to other parts of the room. He loves his new home and immediately started exploring! This cage was super easy to assemble. We had it together in a half hour. The wood is fairly light so very easy to screw into and the cage is quite light when assembled so will be easy to move as needed. The slide out drawer is lined with plastic so should be pretty water resistant. If you add a lot of substrate, you will need to remove some of it from the top if the cage before you will be able to slide the drawer open without making a mess.
Our only concern with the cage is that if you mount the light holder to the cage, it may make it difficult to open but we will see how it goes... that small inconvenience may be outweighed by the fact that we can properly mount the light and not just rest it on the cage lid. This box is pretty sturdy the indent in the wiring is from our dog when my husband placed the box on the floor. It did NOT come like that. Overall I’m very happy! It’s really sturdy and my tortoise has lots of room to roam around.
The ONLY problem we had is the bedding kept falling out the bottom because the tray did not sit flush against the box. It was a quick fix for my handy dandy husband and it’s perfect now!

Dont really use the pull out bedding pan cause of depth of bedding but it is easy to pull in and out. If had wire dog kennels with a pull out pan is about the same difficulty.
I really like the pan cause when we were decommissioning the ZooMed Tortoise house the bottom had water damage from a nearby apartment flooding middle of last year. Definitely a much needed change for our little guy, Gamera.
