So far, my dogs haven't tried to jump over it. I wanted to block off the front door area because the dogs would rush the front door when we came in, and I was afraid they'd run out when we have a dog sitter over.I gave it a score of 4 because the stabilizers that come with it don't fit all the way through the holes. I got some long bolts, washers and wingnuts to put in it for stabilization, and those worked. It's appeasing to the eye, nice color wood, and easy to put together.5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent looks nice !!I love it!! It looks pretty! Just the size I was looking for. I used cement glue to fix it (which looks awful because it’s white) because I was desperate for something to block my stairs and didn’t want to return it and wait any longer. My babies love climbing the stairs but it’s not safe. I contacted the seller to tell him my issue and pleaded for a partial refund or partial replacement. He was so nice and replaced the product within a week! He suggested not to use a drill but to hand screw it in (they should include that in the instructions for people that don’t know better). This works great for us where nothing else does, that we have seen. It is easy to move for our almost 3 year old, but she knows not to climb up the stairs without permission. Our 16 month old doesn’t know how to move it yet. But to fix this, we plan to just put something heavy in front of the gate and that will solve that issue. It’s also nice that we can easily step over it, which is nice when you have Littles trying to follow you up the stairs.Quality productI really like this gate.
