She still is happy to "go" on real grass later in the day. My only complaint is the urine is held in the turf for a while and she tracks wet paws off the matte. If you use it inside, be aware of your pup tracking pee. It's important to keep it fresh, so we have two sets. One in use and next one ready to switch entire unit. We hose off each piece and allow to dry thoroughly. This size slides under a bench on the deck where it is out of the hot desert sun. Our pet was already trained to use a grass pad in carport on rainy days. Having it under the bench saves floor space and she likes her privacy. We havent had a drop of urine on our new deck. This does the job. This design is wonderful, so far there is no foul smell and it is so easy to empty the pull out tray. I just add some water and dump it in the toilet.It is very thick sturdy material, better quality then my other trays.
