We got a 10 week old, 4lb shih tzu pup and we keep him in the kitchen away from the carpet until he is potty trained. He isn't able to make it budge and it is low enough for us to step over it.I was worried that no instructions were included but it was there. The gate was easy to put together. Didn't really need it to assemble, I just remembered what it look like. BUT to lock it in place, I did it wrong. I put the black knobs of the screws in the front, because common sense told me it looked more aesthetically pleasing to cover the holes in the front (as shown in my picture). Doing it this way, it looks great but the gate comes apart! Following the instructions, I moved the black knobs to the back and VOILA! It locked and didn't come apart. But I'm not happy with the holes in the front. Why put holes in the front, they could have stopped drilling 3/4 of the way from the back side to avoid holes in the front side! Still it is beautiful and functional.
