If you are in the market for a cozy condo for your feline friend, then our multi-layer cat tree is exactly what you’re looking for.
Our kitten climbing tower is designed to offer endless fun to your cats. It comes with condo house, hammock, aisles, relaxing perches and climbing ladders, which perfect meets your cat’s needs for climbing or napping. By the way, the height of top post is adjustable. This cat condo provides both sturdiness with chipboard and softness with plush, which comforts your cat to relax and lounge, and it is easy to assemble. In addition, the wear-resistant natural sisal covered posts satisfy cats’ instinct of nail sharpening and protect your furniture from cats’ claw. The hanging ropes also offers extra fun. One of our cats likes to chew everything, and as we expected, he immediately started to chew on the elastic string that suspends the toys, destroying one of them, and also the cords that hold up the hammock at the bottom.
The "bowl" that extends off to the side near the top flexes quite a bit, and seems likely to bend or break off. Our smaller cat loved that part at first, but he seems to be avoiding it now (maybe he's nervous about it breaking).
Still, it's a nice cat tower, and we'd likely buy again if needed.
We love the color and it was fairly easy to put together. I put it together myself in one evening with copious breaks to pet and bond with my new cat and eat dinner etc. As far as instructions go it isn’t fool proof but as our household’s resident assembly person I was able to decipher most of the picture instructions without too much trouble but I did need helping and a lot of trial and error to get the box together correctly (the cloth cover was particularly confusing) and there is a discrepancy between the picture in the instructions and on Amazon about the placement of the hoop rest towards the top of the tower. I would put it as a medium difficulty. They included a set of extra screws which was nice as it’s always good to have them in case there ends up being a problem.
Our cats are just weird. They would rather hang with the humans, and, unfortunately, most of our time must be spent in places other than that in which there was sufficient room for this lovely cat tree.
When they do make use of it, all 4 of them battle over the "condo" portion.
The sole complaint? The hammock is too slack. It freaks out every one of the kitties, ages 1 to 12. We will install eye hooks on the outer corners to provide a more stable hammock.
All in all, a good bargain. We just have abnormally social cats who prefer sitting on laps over playing on and lounging in a cat tree.
Materials are great, there's a bit of fluff you need to remove from the soft parts but a quick vacuum can clean those up. For how tall it is, it's extremely sturdy compared to many other cat towers I've seen.
Bring a ratcheting screwdriver with an allen head to make your life easier, and be careful not to overscrew the ladder mount - they push through the board if you're not careful
Received it today, immediately put it together (it was easy) and my new kitten has kept herself busy all day. She's tiny & only 2.5 pounds but manages just fine and loves the bells and stairs. We set it up slightly different then the picture showed due to space but it worked great and was easy to do. The top bed isn't large, but at her size she fits fine. Also the 2 piece bottom base which allowed us to place it over our vents without blocking. A quality piece!!
