I just wish it was a little bit more narrow at the point it lays on the floor of the truck. When my door is wide open the ramp is just a little bit too wide to lay flat. So it doesn't lay flat on the door step when the dogs are running in and out of the truck. So I just put my foot on the one side to hold it down flat on the garage floor then the dogs run up and down just fine. It will lay flat when I put it on the seat but then it starts getting pretty steep for the dogs to run into the truck.
My dogs went right up at the first time and jump back out the first time without any training or anything. I think that's because my dogs love to go for rides.
We purchased this for Rayne, because she was 8 when we rescued her, and wanted it easier for her to get into our Ram truck. It fits perfect for the back seat floor and slides right behind the drivers seat.

Pros: Even though I have limited mobility, the ramp was light enough for me to fold, unfold and position quickly at each trip stop. The ramp was also sturdy enough for my 40 pound boys to get in and out without the ramp wobbling. The slip resistant tread was another plus, as was the ease of hosing the ramp down when my beagle had some car sickness issues.
Since neither dog had ever used a ramp before I did make sure to let each dog get familiar with it during the weeks before the move. I started out by opening it, laying it down almost flat on the ground and individually walking my dogs on leash up the length of it so they could get use to the feel of the slip-resistant ramp surface. During the next few days I gradually raised the ramp to the height of the passenger van’s sliding door. With some coaxing and treat incentives they handled using the ramp like absolute champs.
Cons: I really can’t think of any negatives with this purchase. I will note that because my dogs are elderly, and because I feared an accidental fall, I kept a close eye on their paw positions. Either my travel companion or I held the leash taunt during each trip up and down the ramp to make sure they neither dog accidently stepped off the side over the protective guardrails.
Overall the ramp made a very stressful move much easier on both of the humans and on both of the dogs involved. I’m sure we’ll continue to use this ramp as we explore our new state and get settled into our new home.
My theory is that walking away from the open car (the goal), to get into the car, makes no sense to them. And it doesn't. U-turns are not intuitive to dogs (or most drivers).
Holding the handle of his harness, I repeatedly escorted him away from the open hatch to the foot of the ramp, which I peppered with cookie bits. He's clever, so 3 or 4 laps had him heading up on his own and waiting for more treats at the top.
Not all dogs may figure this out. Be the grownup and have patience.
Also know the ramp is not super stable. It may bow a bit under a dog's weight (say, 88 pounds) and sometimes shifts slightly, which is scary for you and pooch. Give it several sessions at least.

Would I buy it again probably not
I received in within days. The first day I taught my little guy how to walk up and down by holding a treat in my hand. The second day I showed him with no treat on first outing. The second outing he used it all on his own.
Pros: sturdy material, non slip tracking and easy to use. Comes already assembled- just folded into a locked position and you unmatched it. Has a carrying strap when folded. Doesn't slide around on the concrete steps,stays in place.
Cons: None
Today we finally used the ramp to get him into the jeep. We initially put him at a sit and allowed him to see us place a treat in the jeep to focus his attention on the treat and not the ramp. Then we stood on each side to prevent his stepping off the side. The incline was steep, and we had to keep our hands on his backside to give him a boost, but it was still much easier than lifting him. He went up and down the ramp twice with no trouble.
We will continue to train with the ramp to make sure he does not lose confidence with it, but I can recommend this product.
Would I buy this again? Probably not because of the slipping, the steepness and because of how much room it takes up. I would look more for a telescoping feature that lays flat and that can extend to meet the need of our high sitting truck. I would also buy or build a ramp that was wider and would make a clip on feature so that it didn't slide for a safety and ease of loading.
I do suggest covering it with a new surface as the surface is sturdy and rough yes, but maybe a tad too much for hooves or tiny dog paws. So I’ve recently cut up a yoga mat and put that on top and that solves the issue. It is rather narrow, was expecting more wide depth but aside from that all is wonderful.
Our little pig has become too heavy to lift around ( 55 lbs). This ramp is ideal. Sturdy, light and easy to fold for stowage. She started using almost immediately and now has become a game
The grip tape on the ramp is not as heavy duty as we would have liked and will have to be replaced before too long with boat deck tape
limping every now and then and we believed it to be from having to jump out of the back of our SUV
and on to the concrete driveway (fairly high). So, we bought this unit to prevent that.
However, the sandpaper grit finish did not prove to be a good gripping surface. The ramp was at such an angle that she would scratch/claw trying to get up and she was leery of it to begin with.
Ended up going to Home Depot and purchasing some basic indoor/outdoor carpet and cutting it to
cover the length of the ramp. Makes is easier on her paws and everyone. Works great
ONLY GAVE 3 STARS BECAUSE HAD TO MODIFY. But, still using it!
After reading a lot of reviews, I decided on this ramp. I was looking for a lightweight folding ramp for my 2017 Toyota Highlander (mid size SUV) & my 65# Boxer. We drive daily to walk in parks so I needed a lightweight ramp that stored easily. This is perfect. It even fits inside the 36" dog crate, great for storing when my dog isn't with me. It has a red plastic piece, shown in my pic, which keeps it closed. You simply pull 1 end of the red tab to open & push it back in the hole to keep it closed. There are 4 thick rubber feet, see pics, that keep the ramp from slipping.
There is a sandpaper like grip. Originally, I pulled it off, peeled easily off in 1 piece with no residue, because I read others did it out of concern for their paw pads. I stuck Home Depot Indoor/Outdoor carpet on it, but my dog couldn't grip it & slid going up & down. I ended up buying another ramp because I needed it quickly & kept it as is. His paw pads are fine.
I like the sides of the ramp come up a few inches, helped give my dog confidence. He is 4yrs, but he has joint issues & the jump is difficult for him. I want to limit his jumping. He had never used a ramp, so we practiced inside with it flat on the floor, giving lavish praise & yummy treats. Then set it on 3 carpeted stairs inside, then in the SUV. I used the command "ramp" which has been helpful. He learned quickly & uses it readily.
One note, this can get steep if we are on a slope. So then I have to him up with the harness so je doesn't slip.
